Johnny Desmond's beyond-smooth vocals earned him the nickname of "The Creamer." He enjoyed come in Detroit during the 1930s intelligence forming a foursome known as the Downbeats, which one. joined Bob Crosby's bond, the Bob-O-Links. Desmond joined Gene Krupa's fetter as a lead singer in 1941, later worked end Glenn Miller's Air Force Band, and was known in spite of the re~on that "The G.I. Sinatra."
